From The Information In Chapter 8 On Metabolism And Appendix A, We Can See

From the information in Chapter 8 on metabolism and Appendix A, we can see the multiple metabolic pathways involved in generating ATP from the breakdown of the nutrients glucose, protein and fats. Glycolysis generates pyruvate, the pyruvate then becomes Acetyl CoA, which enters the Krebs Cycle (TCA), products of the Krebs Cycle then enter the Electron Transport Chain (ETC) where ATP is the final product. Fat breakdown (beta-oxidation) also generates Acetyl CoA, which then enters the Krebs Cycle to produce ATP also. Oxygen must be present in order for the ETC to produce ATP. Without oxygen (anaerobic metabolism), glycolysis produces lactic acid. 1. The above pathways show that there must always be some carbohydrate present for the Krebs Cycle to progress. What advice would you provide to someone following a low carbohydrate diet (non-medical)? 2. What is a source the body could use to create glucose if carbohydrates are in low supply? Project Schedule, Cost, &Procurement Management

At the next meeting, you and the team had a very productive discussion on your findings related to the
identification of all of the project activities that must happen to start and finish your project. You even took a
step further in working with your team members to estimate resources and cost for each of the activities.
Everyone feels that it is time to present your findings to Sam and Gloria and provide them with a baseline
estimate of how long this project will most likely cost in terms of time and dollars.
“Thanks for educating us on the schedule development planning,” says Jerry to you. “We have some great
information here, but I think it is too much detail to present to Sam and Gloria.”
“I agree,” says Melissa. “Does anyone have any ideas on how best to present this information?”
“We should go ahead and plug this information into a project schedule that both Sam and Gloria know and will
appreciate. We ought to establish a project baseline at this time. We should define the tasks, start and finish
dates, durations, predecessors (sequence of activities), resource names, and possibly cost,” says Sara.
“The project schedule should account for all of the activities that must happen. It must not be less than 30–50
activities and subactivities,” you say.
“Oh, that’s great!” says Jim. “Do you think you can prepare it for the team by next week?”
Assignment
Tips: Start by looking at the WBS activities that you defined last week. Think about how you could decompose
your work packages into activities and subactivities to complete this coffee house project. You should use all of
the project artifacts (deliverables) you produced so far and the given project scenario to identify all of the
activities that are needed.
You should be able to come up with 30–100 activities easily for your schedule baseline. Once those activities
have been identified, finish your schedule by plugging in start and finish dates, durations, predecessor
relationships, and adding cost and resource names. Resource names and cost can be added in the main
summary page or directly in the resource sheet. Your project name must go in the first row, and all other
activates should be indented under it. You should link all activities to summary tasks and subactivities to the
main activity. You may make assumptions for any of this work, and estimates do not need to be real. You
should save the finished project file as: “Week 3 deliverable_your name.”

Floribama Hospital just learned that their current EHR will no longer be supported by the IS vendor starting in two years. In the hospital’s rush to select an IS, it decided to take some short cuts. These short cuts included: • Creating a committee of only three people to select the system • Not going on a site visit • Not performing systems analysis • Deferring planning until after the contract is signed This was the recommendation of the chief executive officer of the healthcare facility. The logic behind his recommendation to defer planning was that there will be some time after the contract is signed but before the software is available, so the planning can fill in this time period. words from the Great Gatsby

Love and DeceptionWriting PromptThe Great GatsbyThe Great Gatsby offers a variety of characters that challenge our understandings of who they are and how they see themselves in the world. Nick, our narrator, gets to drive the narrative, revealing what he wants, shaping parts as he sees fit. Jay, the hero of sorts, is a man of contradictions: sweet but criminal, devoted but delusional, magnificent but fragile. Tom and Daisy, the Buchanans of West Egg, appear to have it all, but insights into their home life reveal tensions and deceit. In roughly 750 words, compare and contrast Jay Gatsby and one additional character from The Great Gatsby in terms of how they represent ideas of “identity,” “identification,” and “self,” alongside “infatuation,” as defined in John Armstrong’s Conditions of Love. How do infatuation and identity intersect in Fitzgerald’s masterpiece? How do the characters understand themselves through the connected frameworks of love and self? In order to achieve full credit on this assignment, essays must contain direct, relevant materials from the readings. These quotes, paraphrases, summaries, etc., must be carefully cited using MLA format.

This can be concrete information or abstract information.Part two (25 pts):Sum up your findings into a concise, well written paragraph about the meaning of the entire poem.

discussion same meaning as the pictures but different words and the paragraphs that I but about the war everything

The War of 1812I remember those days. During that time, I was afraid because I was worried about our young people who was participating in this war. I like other people, don’t like wars, but this war was inevitable as a necessary step to achieve a prosperous future for America. I am proud of the heroes who had achieved the victory for this land. This war of was the war that broke out between the United Kingdom and us and its colonies in North America and its American allies in the period between June 1812 and February 1815. Historians in the United States and Canada saw it as a major war, often as the theater of the palace of the Napoleonic Wars, and by the end of the war in early 1815, the resolution of significant issues began, and peace was restored without any changes in borders. The causes of the War 1812 were: Britain’s seizure of American ships and impressment of sailors, America’s resentment of Britain, American belief that British were arming Native Americans and inciting them to riot, and American (War Hawks) wanting to annex Florida and Canada. The war broke out in three places. First, at sea, where other merchant ships attacked ships and pirates from each side, while British forces surrounded the Atlantic coast from the United States and launched major raids in later stages of the war. Second theater was fought on land and naval battles on the US-Canada border. Third stage battles were fought extensively in the southern United States and the Gulf Coast. At the end of the war, both sides signed and ratified the Ghent Treaty. According to the treaty, the occupied territories, prisoners of war and captured ships “returned except warships due to frequent re-commissioning upon their arrest.” Prewar owners resumed unhindered trade relations. The end of the War of 1812 and its impact – by that time, peace talks had already begun in the “modern,” Belgium and Britain moved to reach a truce after the failure of the attack on Baltimore. In subsequent negotiations, the United States made its demands to end the coercion, Britain to leave the Canadian border unchanged, and abandoned efforts to establish an Indian state in the northwest. On December 24, 1814, plenipotentiaries signed the Ghent Treaty, which will be ratified in February. In 1815, British forces launched a major offensive against New Orleans, “unaware that peace has already been concluded,” but was defeated by Andrew Jackson, commander of the Army who became president of the United States in the future. The moral of the United States and the Americans with their sense of taste is winning, although the country has achieved all its pre-war goals. The results of the war of 1812 different British forces things looked better for the United States in the West, after the success of Brigadier Oliver Hazard Perry brilliant battle of Lake Erie in September 1813 Thus putting the Northwest Territories under American control. Harrison was later able to regain control of Detroit by winning the Battle of the Times “in which Tecumseh was killed.” At the same time, the US Navy was able to record several victories over the Royal Navy in the first months of the war. With the defeat of Napoleon’s armies in April 1814, North America was able to divert its full attention to the war against Britain, where many numbers of troops arrived. British forces raided the Chesapeake Bay and moved to the US capital, capturing Washington, DC on August 24, 1814, and burned government buildings including the Capital and the White House. On September 13, 1814, Baltimore Fort McHenry held for 25 hours of reporting by the British Navy. The following morning, the fortified soldiers raised the enormous American flag, the scene that inspired Francis Scott to write a poem entitled The American National Anthem. He then left British troops in the Chesapeake Bay and began gathering their efforts to campaign against New Orleans.Although many remember the 1812 war as a relatively minor conflict between the United States and Britain, it took a great deal of space for Canadians and Native Americans, who saw it as a crucial turning point in the losing to govern themselves. The war had a far-reaching impact on the United States, and the Ghent treaty ended decades of bitter internal party conflict in the government and spread the so-called “era of good feelings.”I think that the most important battle of the War of 1812 was the Battle of Lake Champlain. This battle was the reason that led to the Treaty of Ghent in Belgium in 1815 that ended the war. This was a naval battle that was a part of the northern offensive that was fought between English Captain George Downie American naval commander Thomas Macdonough. Macdonough won the Battle of Lake Champlain because he used better strategies and faster ships. This battle also ended the final invasion of the Northern states of the United States.
